CDVE 2008 successfully held
The CDVE2008 has been held with success. 3 days paper sessions and one
Industrial Day have been successfully held.
Participants from 5 continents, more than 25 countries have had a
wonderful conference during the last 4 days. The presentations had very
wide varieties of topics on cooperative technology applied to many
industrial, sicentific, education, business, entertaiment areas. The
industrial day had important presenations from the industry such
as NOKIA, Rolls Royce and GFaI.
The keynote speech of the confernece by Professor Pierre Leclercq from
the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University
of Liège (ULg), Belgium has been the hightlight of the
conference. Focused on the importance of the cooperation in design, he
had a presentation with vivid 2D-3D animation attracted the attention
of all the participants. The speech introduced the experience of
his 18 years experience in design cooperating with other European and
international partners. It convincingly showed that if we want to
go further to raise the level of design, we should go cooperative!
The conference is a high quality, high focus on cooperative work in
many disciplines of design, visualization, engineering and other
applications. There are many high quality papers and presentations in
the conference from important national research centers, universities
of many countries such as France, Sweden,
Finland, luxemburg, Canada, Turkey, China, Australia .... just to name
a few. During the presentation, there are overviews of how
cooperative work is realized at inter-continental and national level.
There are also deep insight of how make cooperative work in a
particular task. Participants enjoyed listening to
topics of cooperative work that they normally do not
hear during daily work.
The conference had very colorful social activities. The first day
reception in the Palma city hall with the welcome of the deputy
mayor of the Palma city and the second day night very Spanish stylish
performance in Son Amar made the conference not only for technical work
but for enjoying truely life in this Meditteranean Island...
